Situated at an altitude of 1200 km, Kullu is the district headquarters of the Kullu-Manali Valley. One of the mot colourful Dussehra is celebrated here.

Accessibility: The nearest railhead is Jogindernagar (95 Kms). Kullu is linked by air to Chandigarh and Delhi. Well connected by road to Delhi, Shimla, Chandigarh etc.

MANALI

In the heart of the fabled “Silver Valley”, is the pleasant town of Manali, with lovely forests and orchards. Manali offers tourists a host of adventure sports and outdoor activities like fishing, mountain biking, rafting, paragliding, skiing, hell-skiing, mountaineering, kayaking and hiking.

Places of Interest: The Dhungri or Hadimba Temple, Manu Maharishi Remple,Museum of Traditinal Himachal Culture, Gadhan Thekchokling Gompa.

Excursions: Vashisht Springs (3 Kms), Jagatsukh (6 Kms), Arjun Gufa (5 Kms), Nehru Kund (6 Kms), Kothi (12 Kms), Solang Valley (14 Kms), Rohtang Pass (51 Kms).

Accessibility: The nearest railhead is Chandigarh (285 Kms) and Pathankot (285 Kms). The nearest airport is Bhuntar (50 Kms). A good bus service connects Manali to the major towns around it.
