Information

Here is some essential information to assist you in planning your trip. We would encourage you to contact us for advice, without any obligation.

Food and Beverages

Experience has taught us that many clients prefer to be accommodated on a bed and breakfast basis, leaving them free to explore local restaurants each evening. Some tours in more remote areas are accommodated on a full-board basis as there is usually no other option. Notwithstanding this we are flexible in the approach to included meals and are happy to give our advice.

Accommodation
Accommodation we offer varies from well-priced 3* accommodation to some of the most luxurious hotels to be found anywhere in the world, with safari lodges, houseboats and remote mountain camps thrown into the mix for good measure! We can cater to any budget or requirement and when selecting hotels only choose those that we know will compliment our own high standards of service, reliability and safety.India abounds with heritage properties and we pride ourselves on our knowledge of most of them. We can make suggestions for those based in towns and cities or those that lay off the beaten track.

Transport
Transport requirement will always be provided to the clients’ needs and/or request. We have access to a fleet of vehicles of all sizes and standards encompassing both large and small vehicles, 4WD’s and even the traditional, much-loved Ambassador. If your group is larger we are able to provide minibuses or midi-coaches. No size of group presents a problem, indeed we are the chosen ground handler for several tour operators specialising in group tours.

Local Guides

Having worked for so long with guests from many different countries as well as with some of the UK’s leading adventure tour operators we know exactly what makes for a successful tour. No small part of that is due to the selection and training of guides. Every tour leader or guide in India has to pass an examination in order to obtain a special license: we go way beyond that by carefully selecting our staff and organising additional training as we know that their performance on tour is crucial. We are proud to say we have some of the best guides and tour leaders in the business.

Age Restrictions
Generally the minimum age on our tours is 7 years (occasionally lower by agreement) and the maximum 80.

What to Bring
Each tour requires a different packing list please contact for advice.

Insurance Coverage
Insurance coverage is solely the responsibility of the traveller. As it is not available locally we do not hold insurance cover that in our opinion sufficiently covers expenses for accident, sickness, repatriation, cancellation or curtailment etc. loss due to theft or any other reasons. Visitors are strongly advised to arrange such insurance in their home country at the time of booking.

Baggage and personal property is at all times the client's sole responsibility.

We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the programme or expenses incurred - directly or indirectly - due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, theft of belongings, political closures or any untoward incidents, nor any consequential loss resulting therefrom.
