UTTARANCHAL
The
trek start from Ghat to Kuari Pass is also know as the Curzon
trail, the lord Curzon was a enthusiastic Himalayan hiker. There are
two routs one goes though Auli and Gorson other Rout from Ghat to Dhakwani
to Kuari pass. The path trails it way though green, forest, with the
mountain. Always in the view, the comping grounds are as delight in
beautiful natural surroundings. At 4268
m, Kuari Pass reached by a
narrow pass, offers a superb panorama of the Himalayas to the north east,
and the west, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri,
Bethartoli, Hathi parvat and Devsthan is some of the peaks. Highest
point : 4268m. Day

02 Delhi/Haridwar (292m)
by Train
Transfer to hotel on arrival. Afternoon for Old Delhi sightseeing late evening Transfer to Railway Station board overnight Train to Haridwar Departure 22 hrs 25. Overnight in train. Day
03 Haridwar/Srinagar (579m)
126 kms by Road
Morning arrive Haridwar. Only Wash and Change at Hotel then sightseeing of Temples and Ghats. Cable car visit to Mansa Devi Temple. Noon drive to Deoprayag 5 hrs. En route halt for lunch on the river banks of Ganga. Overnight stay at tourist bungalow. Day
04 Srinagar/Ghat (1331m)

Morning Puja in the Temple confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river. Drive to Ghat 6 hrs through Garhwali landscape dotted with ethnic settlements following the river. Evening explore the mini township. Overnight stay in tent. Day
05 Ghat/Ramni (1982m)
10 kms Trek
Gradual trek walk 6 hrs through Deodar forest and Bhotia villages leaving behind the Nandakini river. An ethnic school near village of Ramni is very interesting. Overnight stay in tent. Day
06 Ramni/Jhenjipani (1524m)
13 kms Trek
An ascend of about 3 hrs and a gradual descend of 2 hrs through a quiet forest and a local settlement en route. The locals here are a unique race of Brahmins as they have never ventured beyond the mountains ever into the towns. Overnight stay in tent. Day
07 Jhenjipani/Pana (2043m)
12 kms Trek
A 4 hrs trek ascending steeply for about 3 hrs followed by descend into the village of Pana. The route follows the valley and this village of Pana contains the Garhwali Gangari community known for their expertise in sheep wool weaving activities. They only ever use homespun clothes. Evening for rendezvous with the locals. Overnight stay in tent. Day
08 Pana/Dhakwani (2296m)
10 kms Trek
Trek 6 hrs gradually ascending through thick forests containing a rich variety of flora and fauna. Numerous herbs are found in this area and the locals are known to pick them for local use. Nomads grazing their sheeps en route is indeed interesting encounter as they lead a totally contrasting life-style. Overnight stay in tent. Day
09 Dhakwani/Kuari Pass (4268m)
10 kms Trek
Gradual ascend 5 hrs passing through silent forest and emerging into a meadow presenting the first dramatic views of Nanda Devi Peaks and Pangarchula peaks. The panorama is beyond imagination and the meadow presents an ethnic arena of the locals and nomads punctuating the meadow with their sheds while grazing their sheep and cattle. Overnight stay in tent. Day
10 Kuari Pass Rest Day
Day at leisure to explore the meadow discovering the religious and spiritual flower called Brahma Kamal. Excursion to Tirchuli to see the mini township of Tapovan in the distance. Evening with nomads and locals in their sheds. Overnight stay in tent. Day
11 Kuari Pass/Auli (2740m)/Parsari (2240m)
23 kms Trek
Trek down to Auli 4 hrs and continue 2 hrs to Parsari, a large village presenting an interesting atmosphere. Afternoon to visit the Shiva Temple and Durga Temple. Explore the handicrafts of this place in the lanes. Evening with local people. Overnight stay in tent. Day
12 Parsari/Joshimath (1875m)/Chopta (2500m)
2 kms Trek/81 kms by Road
Early morning trek down 30m to road ahead and drive to Chopta. En route stopping at Joshimath visiting the meditation point of Swami Sankaracharya and Narsing Temple. Drive 6 hrs to Chopta following the river Alaknanda downstream till Chamoli and across river ascend through wide open valley passing Gopeshwar town. This section is famous for fruit harvest of Garhwal. Chopta opens at view of the Himalayan panoramas. Overnight stay at tourist bungalow/tent. Day
13 Chopta/Rishikesh (340m)
205 kms by Road
Early morning excursion to Tungnath by walk to witness the magical sunrise and the Prayers of this ancient Temple of Lord Shiva. Drive 7 hrs to Rishikesh. Evening visit the Triveni Ghats to see the Ganga Puja. Overnight stay at hotel. Day
14 Rishikesh/Delhi
